Pneumatic Compression for Calves

SKU: TP-3333

To prevent DVT after surgery, surgeons will either prescribe a blood-thinning medication or rely on a intermittent compression device. Surgeons will often suggest our pneumatic compression for at-home or clinical recovery. These DVT sleeves for calf, thigh, and foot are made of soft, breathable fabric to ensure patient comfort and compliance. Our sleeves are universally sized to fit most patients, although we offer extender panels for the very few who require additional coverage.

Questions about Pneumatic Compression for Calves

After unboxing your compression sleeves, wrap the gentle fabric around your calf and secure in place. Either attach your compression bulb or pump to start compression therapy. Compression from the sleeve will squeeze calves gently helping to reduce swelling and restore blood flow back to its natural state.

SCD is short for sequential compression device which is an inflatable sleeve to fit around your arm or leg. The device inflates and deflates to help blood move.

Directly after surgery, pneumatic compression sleeves should be worn around 18 hours each day. However, that can be reduced as mobility for patient increases.
